Pole-to-pole wires
If the tree in question is affecting pole to pole wires on the street, please call us at 1-800-286-2000 or 860-947-2000 in the Hartford calling area. A Customer Service Representative will be happy to assist you.
Pole-to-house wires
We do not trim trees if the tree is affecting the wire from pole to house. Homeowners who wish to do their own trimming or hire professional tree contractors for pruning work near these lines may temporarily remove pole-to-house lines for safety. Please call CL&P's Clearing Desk at 1-888-544-4826 for more information on temporarily "dropping" your service wire. Our Clearing Desk is staffed Monday - Friday, 8 AM to 4:30 PM.
