Officer Anastasio said he would "get on it" at the last East Shore Management Team Meeting. Oh wait, he says that at every meeting. Reality is many officers have motorcycles so they do little to enforce the noise ordinance. I have seen patrol cars drive right by noisy motor cyclists and not bat an eye. Good luck with your issue.
Try living near an intersection where it's apparently fun to rev up said loud motorcycles as one speeds away from a stop. When the bikes have straight pipes, it's loud enough to rattle my windows.
new haven police are corrupt, they ignore the problems until residents move out.
In good progressive communities they have active fair law enforcement.
Why would Police see the law being broken and ignore it?
Where are the supervisors?
Last year NHPD actively enforced the law.
This year we are still waiting. The city could even generate some revenue with all the super loud motor cycles passing by. Their noise does even hurt.
we have better things to spend our tax payer money on. just look at the ugly schools we are building to educate the kids of new haven. and how about the shootings and roberies. get over it already, geez. i love the sound of harleys goin by, it means all is right in the world.
Hey, I am a life long harley rider/owner also. Its not the M/C. its the idiots riding them. I don,t wind my gears out in residential areas.
People has every right to complain. If I wanted to I could wake up any street if, but i/m not a fool.
Every law should be policed, Thats why New Haven has 400 strong force
OH NO! Motorcycles and cars are still roaring down Townsend Ave?!?!
This is how it is in New Haven. There is no quality of life concern here. Don't like it? Get out while you still can or just continue to pay high taxes to support the 1% of New Haven and the suburbanites who come to play downtown.
