Description

All garbage barrels around Down Town area have 1,2 even 3 full bags of garbage piled on the sidewalk next to them, and they appear to have been there awhile. Not a nice image for the city. Can't this be cleaned up?

Town Green District bags have been picked up and are usually picked up a couple times a day. Part of the problem is that residents and some businesses have decided to start throwing their trash out on the sidewalks next to the public trash barrels as well. This is illegal and Town Green District is working with LCI to fine the people doing this. Thanks for posting.

Thank you Mr. Griswold for your quick acknowledgement. But the garbage could not "HAVE BEEN PICKED UP" since I just saw them an hour ago while walking around town.
And I agree something needs to be done about the businesses dumping their garbage out on the sidewalks. If fines were issued it would stop real fast.

I have reported these violators for years- nothing is ever done as they can't "prove" it- try opening the garbage bag and show the business their mail. Once on curb it is public domain
