Water Department Trucks Idling Archived

Reported by Lisa Zancetti. Idling water department vehicles at the Saylor Grove Park. Trucks have been there for a few days working on a project. Sometimes drivers are in trucks, sometimes they are not.

Temp low 70's.
Buses idling, (polluting and wasting expensive fuel) at Chelten Rail Station.

  I know that SEPTA idles too keep inside cool in Summer and Engines warm in Winter, However low- mid 70's should be a great temp to turn those engines off and keep our air cleaner.

  I am getting frequent reminders via email- but I am not in the Cheltan Rail station area often these days, so am unable to report whether Septa has made an effort to stop Bus idling in this area.

Sidewalk Closed: pedestrians forced into bike lane Archived

310 W Chelten Avenue Philadelphia, PA - Germantown

Pulaski partners has had the sidewalk closed for weeks, forcing pedestrians out beyond the row of parked cars into the bike lane.

There is also no clearance between the fence and septa bus parking, forcing peds into busy traffic in front of idling buses.

I want the PPD and LI to investigate. I will forward this issue to the feds as an ADA compliance issue.

City Council, we're fed up with your inaction. You push your pet projects but provide no oversight. DRM, what happened to abiding by your oath of office? You represent the builders and lawyers but blatantly ignore your constituents.

School bus idles every school day in front of Queen Lane Septa Train station Open

542 W Midvale Ave Philadelphia, PA 19144, USA - Germantown

Every weekday from about 7:00 am until the 7:37 am Septa Train arrives at the Queen Lane Station, the driver of the Germantown Friends School Bus let his bus idle in front of the Queen Lane station while waiting for his passengers to arrive. Totally unnecessary.

Commercial Vehicle: Noise complaint: Keystone Quality Transport Springfield PA Acknowledged

253 W Haines Street Philadelphia, PA 19144, USA - Germantown

Every weekday morning between 8:30-9am a large bus from 'Keystone Quality Transport' idles outside of our front door and impatiently honks its horn between 1 and 20 times.

This has been ongoing for over a year.

I have contacted the owners of this vehicle at least twice and the problem continues .

Van is almost always vehicle number 402.

I would like to see this problem resolved.

Idling Buses In Front of Hathaway House Acknowledged

Hello I'm calling to report idling buses
Several bus lines at the Hathaway house at the corner of Chelten and WissahickonAve.
Several bus lines stop right there. this is an apartment complex and office building complex you are unable to see traffic coming towards you when you come out of the driveway. The bus drivers come there on the 18 line the 26 line and Sit there and talk to eachother , read the paper, and talk on the cellphones 4 long periods of time and almost cause many accidents.

  If a vehicle is observed to be running its engine while stationary refer caller to Air Management Services at 215-685-7580 if the vehicle is a bus, large commerical truck or construction equipment.
  
  All other vehicles, (cars, pickup trucks, vans, motorcycles, etc.), refer the caller to the Police Department or Parking Authority.
