Please fix the big pothole at this location. It's bad enough that someone has put an orange cone in it.

Valley View Drive in Franconia is the only official road into a neighborhood of many homes. Yesterday there was a sinkhole in Valley View and the entire neighborhood had to travel back to our homes via a one lane dirt alley. There were boy scouts at each end with walkie talkies letting the cars through in batches. Today a school bus was stuck on Valley View without any way to get back and pick up the kids. The alley either needs to be widened to two lanes and paved or another method of entrance needs to be developed. Our neighborhood is completely trapped every time something happens on Valley View (flooding, damaged roads, trees down, power lines down, blizzards, etc.)

Valley View is our main road into our neighborhood for a fairly large community. Currently we have a dangerous sink hole causing traffic to be rerouted onto a muddy road which is the ONLY other access road into and out of this community. The access alley road is primitive with huge pot holes causing cars and buses to get stuck. Our neighborhood is considered to be in a dangerous situation in an emergency since Valley View is our only road. It's time VDOT stopped neglecting our community and started fixing our roads. We are the neglected taxpayers in this area. We certainly have the roads that need workers to repair them. We'd like to see some of our tax dollars at work in OUR community.
