Hey SCF, my bicycle was stolen last night on Grand Ave near the corner of Atwater St around 9pm. It's super recognizable due to it's many custom parts. The frame is a silver FUJI SUNFIRE with a black SURLY fork, the handlebars are mustache bars with black grip tape, and there are black front and rear fenders. It's got a bunch of super recognizable stickers on the top tube and the down tube like black and white bumper stickers that read TROMAVILLE(top tube), ANDREW JACKSON JIHAD(downtube), a UCB sticker on the downtube near the crank, a red and black FIST OF DISHONOR sticker on the top tube, and a red heart shaped sticker on the rear fender. There were lights on it when it was stolen, the front light is green, so if you see a bike with a green front light I don't know anyone else who uses one so it’s probably mine.

152 Temple St New Haven, CT 06510, USAIt is nice that the Town Green Assoc. has put the tables and chairs out in the Temple courtyard. Unfortunately, this needs to be policed because it has generated drinking out of brown paper bags, pot smoking, and trading of stolen goods.
50 Elm St New Haven CT 06510, New Haven, ConnecticutBike parking on the corner of Elm and Orange would be much appreciated! I work in the area and my bike was recently stolen when a thief pulled a street sign from the pavement. There are a couple of businesses that are frequented by bikers on the corner and I'm concerned the sign (which is still standing, but easily removed) will attract more bikes and thieves.

They have been locked to the signs for over a week. I’m not clear on which New Haven department to report this to. It seems the police should know about the vandalized bikes. And, I’m wondering if the city can cut the lock and remove them. One is in front of 162 Bradley; the other is in front of 154 Bradley. Thank you.

Three times in the last month, I've seen a group of teenagers riding around on scooters recklessly and illegally. None of the scooters have license plates, and one of the looks like the plate bracket itself was broken off -- leading me to suspect they were stolen. The kids dodge in and out of traffic, up onto sidewalks, and dive through red lights.
Given how many cars I see stopped for speeding or other minor traffic infractions, I'm amazed that this reckless theft and endangerment doesn't seem to concern the police. I understand it would hard to catch these kids -- they would scatter in 4 different directions if they saw a cop -- but doesn't the law apply to them too?
228 College New Haven, CTBlack and Yellow Canondale bike stolen last night between 7-11pm outside of Oaxaca Kitchen on College st. This photo is older so the handle bars are actually yellow and black not just black and there are lots of sticky yellow reflectors on it. This bike is more sentimental than anything, but I know it is probably a goner.
