Pedestrian Crosswalks at East Fourth Street and South McDowell Archived

820 East Fourt Street - Downtown Sharlotte

There needs to be signs posted at this intersection that pedestrians have the right of way in the crosswalk and cars must yield. Or the city needs to make this intersection a no turn on red. I park in the parking deck and cross this intersection twice a day and there isn't a week that goes by that at least three to four times a week a car wanting to turn on onto McDowell from Fourth Street either comes very close to hitting me because they're looking the other way, or they get tired of how long it takes me and start blowing their horns. I even have had people yell out their window that their light is green and they have the right of way when in fact they don't. I believe this to be an extremely dangerous intersection for pedestrians and if something isn't done, someone is going to be seriously injured or worse because of the drivers ignorance of the traffic laws or because they're not willing to yield the right of way.

Inch worms killing trees around the airport Open

Yorkmont Rd. Charlotte - Downtown Sharlotte

Heavy cobwebs and what appears to be hundreds of thousands of green inch worms are disrupting traffic and damaging trees. Charlotte used to take care of the trees what has happened?

Heavily Distressed Telephone / Power Pole Open

1545-1599 Freedom Drive Charlotte, NC 28208, USA - Downtown Sharlotte

This telephone / power pole is heavily splintered / cracking, as a result the pole is leaning due to the stresses of wire tension over time and apparent age of the support. This pole is literally the sidewalk's width from Freedom Dr. This section of Freedom Dr. is curved and extremely blind due to the proximity of the building located on the lot. The power line and telephone lines attached to this pole run both parallel to Freedom Dr. and perpendicular, crossing over Freedom Dr. just before the light at Moorehead. This is a disaster waiting to happen, as traffic volume is very heavy at all hours of the day.

CATS Buses making illegal left turns from Church St onto Third St. Archived

300 W 3rd St Charlotte, NC 28202, USA - Downtown Sharlotte

There is only one left turn lane from Church St onto Third St. There are several CATS buses that are making a left turn from the thru lane adjacent to the left turn lane. The thru lane is specifically marked for thru traffic only. I have contacted CATS twice about this but have not received a response.

Parking on both sides of street Archived

101-199 W 1st St Charlotte, NC 28285, USA - Downtown Sharlotte

Cars and trucks are parking on both sides of the street narrowing traffic down to one lane and this is a two-way street. No parking meters or signs for no parking posted but there are none on Tryon St and no one parks there all day.

Large signs in lot blocking view of oncoming traffic at Caldwell & 6th streets Open

Caldwell And 6th Streets - Downtown Sharlotte

The general manager of lot has been notified but signs have not been moved. Large signs are blocking the view of exiting traffic onto Caldwell Street from the Central Parking lot at 6th and Caldwell Street. The signs saying $4 are tied to the fence which blocks view of oncoming traffic.
