Issues: street signal
500 Dekalb Industrial Way Decatur, GA
Traffic light above intersection of Dekalb Industrial and North Acadia is not secured to mount. Fixture is swinging free in the wind.
3614 N Druid Hills Road Decatur, GA
This morning around 7:30am as I was trying to drive to my job I was stopped at the exit of my neighborhood by a fire truck with lights flashing and 2 Dekalb County officers directing traffic. A car belonging to a new neighbor who lives on N. Druid Hills Road (3614 NDH Road) had been t-boned by a speeding driver. It was completely totaled with all airbags deployed. It was crumpled at the entrance of her driveway - she almost made it. Thank God she was not injured. Had she had a passenger or a child in the car, the same would not be said.
I am a resident of N. Druid Valley off N. Druid Hills Road and we need your help with a traffic problem that has taken enough of a toll on us and our neighbors. Less than 10 days ago, there was a fatal wreck near the exact same spot. In 1976, a little boy was killed crossing the road to get to school. The issue is that the speed of this road and the lack of traffic calming or electronic signals is taking its toll on us - the 110 homes in my neighborhood, along with the homes that line N. Druid Hills and the hundreds of homes in the area.
To document crashes, injuries, and deaths, my volunteer neighborhood association, North Druid Valley Home Association has put together a website: http://www.northdruidkills.com This website is going to be used to continuously compile the dangers of this stretch of road that is handling too much traffic. We plan on using it to raise the volume of our voice to get some help. We hope you are listening.
We are subject to the dangers of those speeding off 78 onto what should not be an extension of the highway - North Druid Hills is like a racetrack during the morning and evening commute. It is a danger to exit our neighborhood at N. Valley Road and N. Druid Circle - we are completely cut off from an intersection with a stop light. And we are in between a raceway used by folks who speed to and from work daily. If we are not at risk of being hit coming out, then we are by turning in. Many of the photos on the website show rear-end collisions.

1317 Dunwoody Village Pkwy Dunwoody, GA 30338, USA
There is at least 2 feet of water covering Dunwoody Village Parkway. It is very difficult to see due to the lake of traffic lights. I suspect it will get worse as the rain continues.
Rockbridge Rd At Ridge Ave Stone Mountain, GA
The traffic light green is too short on Rockbridge Rd at Ridge Ave in the am hours. There is more than enough time for Ridge Ave to clear during each green (with time leftover), but Rockbridge Rd is always backed up toward Stone Mountain-Lithonia RD.
2247 Northlake Pkwy Tucker, GA
The traffic light in front of the entrance into 2245/2247 Northlake Pkwy (AT&T building) has a timing issue with the green turn arrow. For the past 2 weeks, the green right turn arrow stays on for 2 mins.
This was initially submitted in August. It is now almost December and still no change to the timing.
212-238 Moreland Ave Se Atlanta, GA 30316, USA
There are currently traffic lights on Moreland Ave at Arkwright, Memorial, and at the ramp from I-20. This is completely ridiculous and causes terrible traffic back-ups. Traffic on Moreland is frequently backed up to Wylie heading south and Glenwood to the south (this intersection also needs to be fixed!). Memorial backs up way past Vannoy in the evenings with cars trying to turn south on Moreland from Memorial westbound - the light only allows 3-4 cars through, and often even they can't get through because cars are backed up at the red light on Moreland at the I-20 ramp!
Intersection Of Glenwood Ave & East Lake Blvd. Atlanta, GA
The turn arrow on the traffic light has been broken for months. This is a real hazzard because many cars turn there for the elementary school.
2024-2028 Savoy Dr Atlanta, GA 30341, USA
The new traffic light is not timed correctly. The traffic on Savoy now backs up significantly because of the short green light on Savoy. The light only allows morning cross traffic on Savoy 10-12 seconds to cross N Shallowford. The time it takes to travel Savoy from Chamblee Dunwoody to I-285 E on-ramp at the end of Savoy is three to four times what it was before the new traffic lights were activiated.
