Since construction has began on the train overpass it is near impossible to cross under the bridge on foot or bike without putting your life on the line. there is no room to walk or ride and the path/sidewalk is no longer usable because of the construction site on both sides of the bridge, someone will get seriously injured or killed here.

I'm glad the town is finally clearing the sidewalks on the bridge, but the snow that had piled up there was full of salt, sand and debris. Why was it OK for them to dump bucket loaders full of that awful snow into the river, which 1/2 mile away empties into Long Island Sound. Isn't that just as bad as what Atlantic Wire was doing?

Since the installation of a new bridge back in o4 the road has sunken down at the edges of the bridge causing a unavoidable sharp edge coming in and out of the neighborhood which is beating on every car which passes over it.

Can't the graffiti on the RR bridge be removed - It looks very unsightly and makes it look like Branford has gang problem. If public works won't do it, will it at least provide volunteers with the supplies necessary to do it?
Branford Trolley Trail Branford, CT - Branford
The rope railings that were part of the Trolley Trail have been damaged by the storms -- Irene and Alfred. There are about 100 4x4s with two 5-inch U-bolts through each one (with a plastic sheathing on the exposed 'U" portion to protect the ropes from thread wear) that hold the ropes in place. I'm not sure how long the ropes are, but there are probably four sections of rope -- two going east toward Branford, and two going west toward Stony Creek. I wonder if anyone is working on getting this fixed.

The bridge over the tracks on Bridge St has graffitti all over it. This needs to get repainted. It is unsightly and makes Branford look bad. Driving down this road makes you think you were in the bronx!!!!

There is still a "temporary" 40mph speed limit sign on southbound I-95 just before the Lake Saltonstall bridge, left over from when the bridge was being repaired, years ago. Drivers unfamiliar with the area see it and hit the brakes. It needs to be taken down.

When the state DOT rebuilt the sidewalk in front of the train station they didn't finish the job, and there is about a 30 foot section missing near the rail bridge. Someone is going to injure themselves badly here. What's the problem?
9/21/2012 Thank you DOT - The sidewalk is being repaired today, finally.

Extensive new graffiti on both sides of bridge fence over RR tracks, Pine Orchard Rd.
Branford Train Station - Branford Center
There is no stairway from Maple Street bridge to the Shore Line East train station. To get to the station, pedestrians have to walk over 100 feet south and then 100 feet back north again.
Since $5.4 million is being spent to enlarge the parking lot, perhaps $50,000 can be spent to put in stairs here too?
It seems that the station was not designed for pedestrian use yet there is a non-trivial number of people who walk to the station each day.
