abandoned auto: 200 block W haines Archived

200 Block W Haines Street Philadelphia, PA - City Center West

red buick regal has been abandoned for months. pa tag HDL-8854, flat tire, expired inspection stickers and leaking fluid. registration sticker is valid for another month or two but vehicle has not moved in a long time. East side of street close to wayne ave.

  In order to enter a service request for an abandoned vehicle, the Police Dept. requires the following: the color make and model, the license plate number and state, the condition of the vehicle, if anything is broken or missing, if the vehicle is drivable, how long the vehicle has been there, and the police district. This information is needed for each vehicle.
  A vehicle which is inoperable (e.g., missing or flat tires),
  hazardous (broken glass), has expired registration, and/or a
  expired inspection sticker will be considered to have been abandoned.
  If a vehicle meets the criteria of an abandoned vehicle,
  then and only then will it be towed.

Junk Car Ads posted on trees Archived

Northbound Roosevelt Blvd. Between Rising Sun Ave & C St Philadelphia, PA - City Center West

I believe this section of the city is considered either Feltonville or Northwood. There are numerous neon colored sticker plastered on trees over several blocks advertising " JUNK CARS" 215-740-6116 & 215 -910 -7213. Located on the right hand side of Roosevelt Blvd, going northbound Blvd. Beginning after Rising Sun Ave and ending before Friends Hospital. Thank you for your assistance!

  Also, there is an open invitation to anyone from the media to attend this meeting. In the City's effort to become a more "Green" City, removal of urban blight should be our first priority. Enforcing and imposing the monetary penalties associated with this issue should generate some income that could be used to improve our City's landscape.

  Whoever is illegally posting these signs continues to do so everyday in new locations throughout the entire city. It is my understanding that this signage problem is now to be solved thru the Streets Department. So I am requesting the Streets Department on behalf of the Citizens of Philadelphia to require the Streets Department Personnel to remove these signs as they see them and fine the violator accordingly. Perhaps these fines could be funneled back to the Streets Department in assisting necessary roadwork repair. Thank You!
