Issues: noise complaint
Letitia And Market Philadelphia, PA
Residents of 120-126 Market St. & 10 Letitia among others are awakened several times a week by the jarring sound of bottles being dumped and trash being collected in the early morning hours in the alley that runs behind 120-126 Market and next to 10 Letitia.
Philadelphia Bar & Restaurant dumps bottles between 2-3:30am (mostly on weekends) and the Residential Building 10 Letitia has trash & recycling collected several times a week between 4-5am.
With this type of disturbing activity occurring at all hours of the evening/morning, it is almost impossible to get a good night's sleep.
126 Chestnut Street Philadelphia, PAI live at 122 Chestnut Street, on the 4th floor, adjacent to Mad River Bar and Grill (2 floors above the bar, next door). Their music is consistently at a noise level far exceeding statutory levels, as the music enters my condominium through the walls until 2 am, nightly. In addition, there have been numerous fights occuring both inside and outside the bar, in front of the entrance to my building. These have been captured by video and are even posted on youtube (2 in the last week alone). The level of intoxication of the bars patrons is a great concern to local residents, as it is a safety concern, as well as a property concern--numerous times the glass entrance doors to our building have been shattered. Please help.

Large trucks delivering goods to the Wawa between Lombard & South on 2nd St routinely leave engines idling. This happens daily, especially at night, often very late at night into the morning.
The noise is overwhelming to those of us living above, and the emissions should not be ignored. We have called and spoken to managers in the past, but as soon as we stop calling, the noise and pollution resume.
1207 Pine Street Philadelphia, PAResidential noise problem- music blasting at random hours; today a dog in the house barking all day. Strong smell of pot coming from the house at times. Have tried to discuss issue but does not help.
S 3rd St Philadelphia, PA
This is a major noise issue for the entire half block of 300 S. 3rd St. which is coming from a broken PECO man hole. The whole manhole is loose and in the video you can see it moving up and down after the bus goes over it.
I have attached a video showing the problem. The noise is so loud and constant that our 2 year old son keeps getting woken up throughout the night. A few of us have called PECO to report this issue (multiple times) with no results.

This was a commercial truck #5 owned/managed by "Waste Oil Recyclers" (I assume it was arranging/collecting fryer grease from nearby restaurants) I am happy about the resuse of grease- Unhappy about the idling.
Do unoccupied trucks idle in center city because of some loophole that allows them to not get a parking or traffic ticket while truck(s) are unattended? If so- lets work to close the loophole and stop the truck noise and air pollution downtown.
2nd & South St Philadelphia, PA 19147, USAPaddy Whacks floods the surrounding area with drumming and amplified guitars until early morning hours. Even through closed windows, this is very loud. Many of us who live nearby have to rise before dawn for work. Please close windows and front door to contain the noise!

Voted!500 Pine St Philadelphia PAThe manhole cover at the intersection of Pine & S. 5th Street makes a loud clanging noise when vehicles cross over it... hundreds of times a day, and through the night as well. People throughout the neighborhood hear this noise in their homes. The cover needs to be secured.
