potholes/uneven roadway at intersection of Westinghouse & South Blvd Open

Westinghouse Blvd & South Blvd Intersection - Montclaire South

There are numerous sites of uneven roadway at the intersection of Westinghouse and South Blvd. I'm aware this is a heavily-used truck route, but the ruts in the road are ridiculous. The problems begin at the bridge over the light rail line and continue throughout the intersection of Westinghouse & South Blvd. Vehicles can't even stay in their own lanes. Desperately needs repaving!

Finish building the bridge over the overflow Open

7301-7347 Albemarle Road Charlotte, NC 28227, USA - Hickory Ridge

When are they going to finish with the bridge over the overflow from the lake? They re-worked this area and distorted the trees and the trail to walk around this lake. Now kids have to jump down into to overflow area jump the water then climb back up the other side to get back on the walking area. Please, finish the bridge over the overflow for a safe area for walking around the lake.

Complete Disregard for a stop sign and a do not enter Open

453-477 Wesley Heights Way Charlotte, NC - Seversville

There is a stop sign at the end of wesley heights way, merging onto tuckaseegee, that gets ran CONSTANTLY, Id say people stop less than 30 percent of the time, even worse, on the back side of the stop sign there is a DO NOT ENTER SIGN, two of them infact!! Cars shoot off tuckaseegee thru a 1 lane bottleneck at extreme rates of speed ive estimated 50-60 mph plus, this is EXTREMELY DANGEROUS!!! i personally have almost been hit mowing my grass. People walk with their families, children and pets out here, on this 25 mph neighborhood street, i have called the law many, many times being here for almost 3 years now, just in the 15 min of writhing this from my porch i have witnessed 5 cars come thru the do not enter, two of which, folks coming down the right way have had to stop to keep from being hit by the cars coming in the wrong way. I have personally spoken with the DOT about putting a median up on tuckaseegee, from the before the bridge over the greenway up to where tuck turns into 4th st ext, and the brilliant response i got from a gentleman was " well, theres a double yellow median there and they arent supposed to cross it' are you kidding me?!?!?! I know they arent! BUT THEY DO!!!! Police have been out here watching and pulling folks over, but they cant sit out here all day, something needs to be done about this before someone is killed. It is EXTREME BLATANT DISREGARD OF THE LAW AND EXTREMELY DANGEROUS,

Bridge on 5th Street crossing 77N and 77S Open

I posted this issue 5 months ago and have even put a link to pictures of the problem! The problem with the bridge is on the roads surface. Any potholes this big on a regular road surface would have been fixed months ago! This problem has caused me to stop using this bridge to get to work. Cmon "SeeClickFix" Is this really a fix it website or just a news teasing bunch of malarky?

  I cross over this bridge at least once a day traveling to and from work from my home uptown and was happy to see that the pot holes were being repaired and the workers were out working late every night for about a week before the DNC arrived. However, the minute the DNC came and left I haven't seen a single worker completing any repairs and of course it was left incomplete with orange cones separating the lanes and the pavement uneven. One has to slow down before getting to the bridge so that they don't mess up their car. It is very disappointing that these repairs have not been completed considering that they were started over a month ago and noone has been on-site since. How convenient that this was important enough to receive attention prior to the DNC but the left over mess is no longer a concern...

  Very good point Jessica! That bridge had been an open issue for a long time. the county is not stupid, they keep our tax dollars as long as they possibly can to accrue the interest on it. Legalized robbery. I bet the county does not pay taxes on those capital gains. It's not their fault, if I was collecting taxes in everybody in Charlotte, I would want to make money as well. It's the fundamental basics of capitalism at work here, but the county, and the country, should not profit at the expense of their citizens. No side walk to cross dangerous bridge Open

Campbell Creek Greenway-E Charlotte, NC 28227, USA - Marshbrooke

On Independence Blvd headed east past the Ruby Tuesday there is a bridge that traffic crosses the McAlpine Creek. People that live in the apartment complexes past the Carmax try to cross the bridge and there is not enough space or a side walk for anyone to cross safely. They need to fix this or someone is going to get hit by a car.

Street lights out Archived

Stonewall And Mcdowell - Downtown Sharlotte

For almost a year the lights under the Mcdowell Street and StoneWall Street bridges have been out. Many residents and tourists use these walk ways for jogging, walking and visiting restrauants. These areas are very dark and welcome panhandlers and thieves.

Bad dip on Hwy 74 outbound Archived

Outbound Hwy 74 far right outside lane there is a very bad dip where the bridge over Pecan Ave. turns from asphalt to concrete. It's so bad that I almost lose control of my vehicle.

No stripes on bridge over I-77 Archived

Interstate 77 Charlotte, NC 28269, USA - Charlotte

There are no dividing stripes for the lanes in either direction on the bridge over I-77 at Harris Blvd. I have reported to the city and they forwarded to the state at least three months ago and nothing has been done. It is extremely dangerous at night.

  I called again today to Albemarle. Was given another number in Stanly at the Dept. of Highways. Mr. Furr was not in, so I left a message. I don't know why the first person couldn't just contact Mr. Furr and keep me from having to call, but this is extremely frustrating, but nothing new in dealing with the State.

  Spoke to Mr. Furr. He was not helpful. Told me it was on the schedule but he didn't know when and couldn't tell me. I-85 bridge was being restriped today per the news, why couldn't they do both at the same time. I-85 bridge already had stripes! Will keep trying. I asked if the Highway Patrol could request an immediate fix since it is so dangerous. He said if that's what I want to do to go ahead.

Making right turn from Hucks Road onto Browne Rd/West Sugar Creek Archived

W Sugar Creek/Browne Road And Hucks Road NC 28269, USA - Davis Lake-Eastfield

If you are driving North on West Sugar Creed Road (north of W T Harris Blvd) it turns into Browne Road just before Hucks Road. Hucks Road is not a straight road at this intersection. It forks to the north. There is a new elementary school on Hucks Road and school buses travel this road daily along with other communters. If you try to turn right from Hucks Rd onto Browne Road in a car, you end up crossing over the center line into the oncoming lane of traffic. When a school bus turns from Hucks onto Browne Rd or vice versa, traffic has to stop and make room for the bus so no vehicles will be hit. When a vehicle turns onto Hucks Rd from traveling north on West Sugar Creek, it is hard to navigate the fork. There is also a narrow bridge on Hucks Rd approx 1/4 mile West of this intersection that can not accommodate a school bus and another vehicle at the same time. The intersection and the bridge are dangerous and should have been addressed by the city before the school was built. Please do not use my last name on tv.

we have a bridge turned into a dead end. no traffic can cross. young people have started gathering at night because of the area basically dark. they are leaving debris and condoms on the turnaround. if we had a light i think this would discourage the activity. everyone on our street is older and retired and this has become a serious problem. also evidence of smoking blunts

A small dumpster is stuck on the north side of the Central Avenue bridge over Briar Creek about at 1945 Central Avenue, washed down by heavy rains. I've called 311 about the issue as well.

Improper markings in turn lane Archived

Wt Harris And 485 - Plaza Midwood

WT Harris at 485, there is a right turn lane to go North on 485, when you cross the bridge over 485 there is another right turn lane to go South on 485; however, many drivers are getting in the North turn lane but instead of turning right continue across the bridge to turn right on South 485. Drivers who do the right thing try to get in the right turn lane to go South, have seen one bad accident already and many near misses, scary every day when I reach this point on my drive home that someone will be coming fast in the right turn lane across the bridge, happens every day. Need an arrow that says you can turn right to go North on 485 or go straight to cross the bridge to the right turn lane to go South, would solve the problem, all right turns could be in that lane whether going North or South on 485.

HUGE pothole in bridge Open

Wilkinson Blvd Catawba River Bridge Charlotte, NC - Fourth Ward

This pothole is eastbound rt hand lane on the very narrow bridge crossing the Catawba river coming into Mecklenburg County. It has been patched numerous times but just comes back. Has knocked my car out of line, throws you into the other lane. Very dangerous due to its proximity to concrete bridge railing.

Dangerous Yield sign! Open

1039-1049 W Arrowood Rd Charlotte, NC 28273, USA - Charlotte

There are many businesses located in the business parks on Arrowridge Boulevard. There is a Wendy's as soon as you turn onto Arrowridge. When you are at the stop sign on Arrowridge trying to make a left on Arrowood it is a very dangerous because the traffic that is coming off of I-77 has a yield sign and most people do not yield or even slow down. It appears that they are coming off the ramp at 35 mph at least. The distance between the exit and Arrowridge is VERY short. Also, if you come under the I-77 bridge toward Arrowridge and need to merge to turn right onto Arrowridge, people do not yield and I have had to stop or miss my turn. This is a VERY dangerous situation that needs to be resolved with a minimum of a STOP sign! Please help us avoid a potential disaster!
