Dangerous situation for pedestrians in the cross walk, on the south side of the South 1st and Cesar Chavez intersection, especially those going west. Pedestrians going west are emerging into the cross walk from the wooded Maragaret Hoffman Oak Park, and many drivers are not aware of them.
The connection of the pedestrian bridge to the trail is currently closed on the opposite side of the lake, causing runners and bikers to use the east part of the pedestrian bridge, and then to cross S. First to get back on the trail when returning.
Much of the Traffic turning south on South First are not honoring the pedestrian cross walk during rush hour in their haste to get through the light.
Even worse, some are making an illegal right turn from the second lane at a high rate of speed, and not even considering the pedestrians cross walk.
You may need large lit signs as you have elsewhere near the trail telling drivers to stop for pedestrians in the cross walk.
You might need to clearly warn that a left turn from the second lane is illegal, and also increase enforcement during rush hour.
Thanks! Thanked!Intersection Of Cambridge Rd And Bedford Rd Woburn, Massachusetts
I think green arrows or delayed green lights need to be put at the intersection of cambridge rd and bedford rd. I heard a bad accident from my house last weekend. It's almost impossible to take a left from cambridge rd on to bedford rd and south bedford rd. I see people running red lights all the time just to get through the intersection.

Two lane high speed road, no shoulder, of course no bike lane. Two lane bridge with no room. There is an underpass but in bad weather the unpaved trail is not rideable (mud) and the increased distance is not conducive to serious transportation. One of the few "escape" routes from scary Westminster to safer Broomfield.

For years the business owners and building management from the historic Henderson Carriage Building have sought repair/replacement of the sidewalk from the City of Cambridge. Now, because of complaints from neighbors that they had to now walk / trip on the deteriorating sections, because Elephant Walk restaurant introduced sidewalk seating, DPW came out in the Fall and put down a temporary patch. We were told that in the Spring they were going to give us an entire new sidewalk from Hadley Street to Russell Street. Well, that seems to have changed. DPW and the City of Cambridge have schemed to avoid this repair and now wants Elephant Walk restaurant to move their seating from the side of the building to the edge of the street. This new seating arrangement will now be situated over the most damaged part of the sidewalk.
We are now told that the temporary fix is the permanent fix.
I feel bad for Elephant Walk for they went through all the necessary protocol and permitting to have a space that was comfortable for their patrons. Now, the often speeding traffic on that particular section of Massachusetts Avenue will bring an adrenalin filled experience while dining.

This intersection looks like the streets of New Delhi, India during rush hours when a train is crossing!
Yesterday at 4:45PM, approximately 20-30 vehicles were waiting on each street at Mohawk St., Columbia St., Bridge Ave., Remsen St., and Cohoes Rd. for the train to cross.
I was on Mohawk St. headed south. My vehicle was stopped and waiting for the train just like everyone else was. As soon as the train passed by, 5-6 cars peeled-out and violently passed me and 4 other cars on the left side of the road in order to make the left turn over the railroad crossing, in order to get to Interstate 787!
The chaos and agressive road-rage that this intersection causes is intolerable! Someone is going to get killed here because of this horrific bottleneck which needs to be completely reconstructed NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
THE TRAIN CROSSINGS IN COHOES HAVE BECOME A DANGEROUS TRAVEL NIGHTMARE!!!! FIX THEM NOW!!!!!!!!!!!! MAKE THESE DEATH TRAP ROADWAYS ONE-WAY STREETS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This mound of dirt has been sitting here waiting for the bridge to be built so that Rocky River School is with-in code of having two exits from the school. This, I believe, will become the main entrance to the school and hopfully be made attractive with a school banner accross the road leading up and over the bridge. There is the mound of dirt on the other side of the tracks for the other end of the bridge also. When will this be built?
