Issues: animal problem
5201-5399 Timber Creek Cir North Little Rock, AR 72116, USA - North Little Rock
it seems that everytime (especially in evenings or on weekends) we drive or walk around the upper part of Timber Creek Circle we are seeing or dodging dogs (several different breeds) out roaming free in the street or on the sidewalk (no leashes) - thought this was against the law in NLR ??

409 South 10th Ave Hattiesburg, MS - Hattiesburg
2 STRAY DOGS, ONE LARGE BLACK LOOKING ROCKWEILLER AND ONE SMALLER BROWN WHO NOW HAS TWO BLACK PUPPIES, ARE ALL OVER THE NEIGHBORHOOD, BARKING AND RUNNING AT PEOPLE GOING DOWN THE STREET, ACTING LIKE THEY ARE GOING TO BITE AT ANY SECOND. THEY ALSO HAVE KILLED CATS AND OPOSSUMS. SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE ABOUT THEM. I HAVE BEEN CALLING ANINAL CONTROL FOR OVER 9 MONTHS NOW AND THEY CANNOT SEEM TO FIND THEM.
Cornhill Place Rochester, NY - Corn Hill
I have noticed that the street lights on Cornhill Place have been out for about 4 days. This makes it very difficult for people to walk their dogs at night as well as cars to see people walking in the neighborhood. I consider this a hazard
and hope that something can be done about it. Thanks.

Mrs. N*s dogs will bark non stop if any neighbors go outside their homes. They also bark anytime they are let outside weather its 6 am or midnight, & they are allowed to bark for 20-30 minutes non-stop. We have tried to call the dog pound, but they are closed when it happens & wont do anything unless they see it, they suggested calling the sherrif (which we have done) but it doesent stop & I hate to bother them with this. Isn't there some zoning law about this? We cant open our windows for freesh air without hearing their 3 dogs all the time. I have a dog & so do most of the neighbors, but we train or dogs so they dont bark all the time. HELP!
Marion Ave Albany, NY - Buckingham Lake-Crestwood
Residents and passerbys on Marion Ave are constantly treating the road like a racetrack. With the amount of walkers and dogs on this street, this is creating a hazard that should be addressed.
3154 Brunstane Circle Corona, CA - Corona
My wife an I are both in our sixties and we noticed this last weekend that a cat had a litter of 5 kittens next to our retaining wall in the bushes. I called animal control and they told me to trap them myself and bring them in. I have 3 dogs which all have Licenses and one is my service dog. I don't under stand why they don't pick them up, yes they are nice but they will all grow up and add to the problem we have with animal control. Can I be helped since animal control will not.
1377 Piedmont Rd Ne Atlanta, GA 30309 - Atlanta
New access to Piedmont Park and Botanical Garden assumes cyclists will use side path, making for a dangerous mix of pedestrians, dogs, baby carriages, and inexperienced cyclists; parking lot gates do not have sufficient width for bike access, and pedestrian cross walk at new Botanical Garden entrance is marked with raised reflectors, that are slippery when wet.

The paved path that runs from Summit Drive to State St. is covered w/ horse manure. Once in a great while, I see someone riding in the park. I carry a plastic bag to clean up after my dogs little droppings. Horse folk need to take responsibility for the mega turds they leave behind. Certainly turned me off to the idea of polo in the park.
120 Homewood Ave Toronto, ON - Toronto
Supposedly this park was designed by a famous landscaper but I can't believe that this is what she intended.
We have two names for it.
Kitty Litter Park and/or Puppy Poop Park,
There is no grass only a finely ground stone just like kitty litter that gets into any sandal or open shoe.
The large flat polished top boulders that are supposed to act as benches
are permanently stained with dog urine so much so that you do not want to sit on them.
There is dog poop all over the place you have to be careful where you walk.
The trees are doing poorly and are obviously stressed.
A few are not going to make it.
They are plane trees which when healthy will keep their leaves most of winter. They are also huge and when full grown will crowed each other out so many have been planted.
You could see that a lot of the new growth was dying this summer, a desperate attempt to save themselves.
Last year I noticed how poorly they were doing and I spoke to someone working at a large junction box asking if the trees were watered. I forget the conversation but I noticed that directly after that the trees started to put out all kinds of new growth appeared which most of which has been lost.
I think that the watering system was turned on,
I don't think that they have recovered from that because they keep losing new growth and are very sparse and scraggly looking.
Plane treesare large densely bushed trees not tall scraggly things with hardly any new growth.
The worst thing is in this heat when you entered the SW Homewood corner the stench of dog urine was unbearably strong.
I never feel good about walking into my apartment after walking through there.
You just feel dirty and I have had people tell me that they have special shoes they just wear there.
This park was supposed to be dedicated to the nurses and doctors of Wellesly Hospital
They would have a bird at the filled cat box aspect.
There are no flowers just a few ratty bushes around the fringe. a couple of steel benches and garbage pails on the Homewood side.
Several people want to turn it into a dog park but it is practically there already.
With no controls!
Instead of being a quiet restful place of dignity and inner city peace it is more like a revolting dog run. Uglly, filthy, stinky and unsafe.
Can anything be done to make this a park that two legged creatures can enjoy?
Maybe a portion could be for dogs? How about grass, flowers?

This is a heavily trafficked intersection (Lake St & 8th Ave.) of automobiles and pedestrians. It's popular to cross due to it's destination. It provides direct access to the dog park. Everyone, mostly adults with children and/or dogs, struggle to cross this intersection. Daily, it is especially worse during commute hours, cars speed and rarely make the effort to stop or slow down for pedestrians. Please, I/we request 2 additional stop signs to make this a 4-way stop and an easier and safer intersection to cross.
511 Stanton St Oneida, NY 13421, USA - Oneida
There are only a couple months of weather that we can enjoy before the snow falls.... However this is impossible because all hours of the day and night the mosquitoes are swarming worse than ever. It has become nearly impossible to even walk my dogs without wearing complete body netting. My arms and legs are covered in mosquito bites. I want to enjoy my fall!
86 Sherland Avenue New Haven, CT - Fair Haven Heights
The pit bull that lives at 86 Sherland charged the stroller in which my two kids, ages four and two, were riding. I was taking them home from the Friends Center for Children when I turned the corner from East Grand onto Sherland. The dog was loping across the lawn on the corner lot, then, when it saw us, charged the stroller, barking and growling. I confronted the dog and it turned away when it was about ten feet from us. My daughter was terrified. This happened several times. The father of the family who owns the dog came out to help, but could not gain control of his pet. Then he tasked his five year old daughter to bait the animal back into its chain link enclosure ,with her mother, apparently, calling down instructions from the second floor window. I was a bit shocked by the lack of urgency.
This is a serious issue. My own dog, a small breed, was attacked and nearly killed by a "friendly" pit bull while on his very own front steps. I was bitten a few months ago by another "friendly" pitty while strapping my 2 year old into his stroller at Lewis Street park. So i don't take chances with my little ones when these dogs are on the loose. I hope the police/animal control officer will pay this family a visit
101-117 Carrington Dr Knightdale, NC 27545, USA - Knightdale
What's the point of the town of Knightdale having a tethering ordinance if no one ever patrols or enforces it? I know of several dogs tethered on giant chains in Carrington Woods who constantly bark and Nothing is ever done!

For months, the King Charles neighborhoods in Raleigh (Lockwood, Gatewood, Longview Gardens, Windsor Park, etc.) have been overrun with stray and loose dogs. Many neighbors (and children and dogs on leashes) have been attacked while walking or even just in their own yards. People walk carrying clubs and sticks because the encounters are so frequent. Animal Control has been notified many times in the last two years, yet the situation has not improved. Multiple neighbors report that when they call Animal Control, officers show up to pick up dogs that are sitting or laying in yards, and when the dogs move a few feet away, they shrug and leave. Meanwhile, negligent dog owners let their pets out to run the neighborhoods, or keep their fences in such disrepair that the dogs come and go as they please.
Four dogs have been in the emergency room as a result of attacks by a regularly escaping St. Bernard at 2263 Rumson Rd., and the same dog has attacked children and families on the Greenway, as well as neighbors walking on the street.
Two pit bulls and a rottweiler regularly escape from homes at the dead end of Brighton Rd near Millbank and have repeatedly attacked neighbors, children, and walking dogs.
There is a boxer mix that lives on Somerset Road between Plymouth and Crabtree who is routinely allowed to run loose in the neighborhood.
There are two German shepherds running wild on Millbank today (Animal Control has been notified, as always), and dozens of other dogs have approached myself and other neighbors on the street in the last few months. The same dogs are allowed to "escape" their yards or homes regularly, and if Animal Control catches them, they end up back outdoors again within a week.
Enough is enough. DO SOMETHING besides showing up with a leash in hand and hoping the dogs will be agreeable about leaving the neighborhood.
Ridgewood Road Edgewood, NM - Santa Fe County District 3
It's midnight as I sit here having listened to dogs barking continuously for over 4 hours from 5 different properties. I have literally video recorded thousands of violations in the last 4 months and reported them but not one single citation has been written. This town is an abject failure.

It look like the water fountain has been rigged to run constantly. This is not only wasteful, but it creates a constant mud pit from the runoff, which is a disaster if you have any interest in bringing home semi-clean dogs. The standing water will also be of concern as mosquitoes season begins.
