Riverside Drive Prince Albert, Saskatchewan - Prince Albert
There used to be a 70km speed sign west on Riverside Drive after the 40km sign & before the curve. What happened to it & why hasn't it been replaced?

Where are all the cops?
I see all these bad drivers cutting people off and speeding, but yet how many people do you see getting pulled over? I seen a city bus just about get cut off near Tim Hortans yesterday, same stop sign i just about got cut off. I Hear story's from my dad he was biking down town and said he got cut off three times and didnt see one cop car all lunch hour.. What are the cops doing, we need cops patrolling more of the streets. To step up their game.

The city put up a signs and sandwich boards too tell us when and where not to park . why does city not clean when they say they are going too clean.why do they put these signs up on the westhill, westflat and eastflat for cleaning at the same time. Do we have more equipment and staff.
Why do people park when the signs say no parking,do they not want too help keep our streets clean.

There needs to be a little more black or white division in regards to the school zone signs. Laws indicate school zones to "as posted" but compared to a number of other cities in the province we have some work to do. "School zone 8-5 school days" doesn't make any sense because how are motorists suppose to know which schools have school that day and which dont? Then there are some school zone signs up with no posted speed limit so there is no point to the sign. I would like to see PA follow other cities lead and have school zones 30 kms an hour 24 hrs a day 365 days a year. Need a yes or no school zone policy that can be enforced...too many people are confused over this especially people that drive here from out of town. The logical thing to do is drive at 30 regardless of "what day it is" but common sense isn't that common unfortunately.

City puts up signs about snow removal and does not remove the snow. Poor elderly people now have to move the snow from the curn so they can park...
PA you should be ashamed.

unused vehicles have been parked on the street since the beginning of winter. leaving no parking places for peoples company. And yes there has been complaints but nothing done or followed up. they do not move them either if there's snow removal signs??? Im pretty sure theres a law about these two things so why isnt there anything done about these things.
Speed Limit Signs Diefenbaker Bridge, Prince Albert, SK - Prince Albert
When is the city going to take these signs off stating 40kms on the bridge and 60kms to the garbage dump road? There are no detours now that the bridge is running on all 4 lanes, and when coming into town you are suppose to be doing 40 but the sign at the end of the bridge has 50kms ahead...... just wondering is all

There seems to be a common consensus amoung residents about the "new" cab drivers in this city. Manypeople have seen these drivers perform numerous dangerous actions while driving and find it necessary to park wherever they want on the street....often cutting across many lanes without signalling and cutting off many motorists
I find it necessary to call apon the city police to try and correct this before someone gets killed

The left turn signal comes on whether there are people in the turning lane or not and stays on for 20 seconds. Why, I have no idea.

The students walking from parking lot to school, or from school to parking lot or getting dropped off...not looking for motorists and just walking across, popping out from behind cars and getting mad if they scare the poo out of drivers when we have to slam on our brakes to keep from hitting them. Although very tempting! Also when the students drive in/through the parking lot...they do not observe or obey the stop signs and just drive through like they own the road because they're young and ignorant...this must come to a stop before one of these kids gets seriously hurt from their misjudementm, ignorance and idiocy!

This intersection is in need of a redesign and widening of the street and a turning arrow onto Mussy. Cars fly by on the right hand side of the southbound traffic and dont stop for oncoming traffic. The school should also change where the pick up/drop off area is and use the western entrance to the school, closing the one off 15th ave. This intersection is one of the busiest in the city with all the new houses going up off Mussy.

Turning left into the Cornerstone Mall at the 1st set of lights from 15th & 6th intersection (Walmart & new mall) gets extremely backed up making traffic through the 15th & 6th intersection extremely congested. City NEEDS left had turn signals at these lights and this will eliminate the problem. Not sure why City never put them in when revising the cornerstone area knowing traffic would increase.

This intersection is going to cause someones death. There are way too many people just driving thru the stopsigns on 22nd St going north or south. Hello people, driving 101, STOP at ALL STOP signs. You might not just kill some innocent person , but maybe even someone in your own car. Follow the rules like the law says. Don,t make your own. And the City of Prince Albert knows how many accidents are at this location. Shame on you. Just fix it, It's also a kids zone meaning parks. And yes, I was hit at this intersection by a person that didn't even stop or slow down.

hello fellow people of Prince Albert. i just have one little problem that has started to become a big problem this winter. it could be due to the lack of snow removal in the city which is due to the price tag of having a safe bridge across the river. anyway. . . to the point. . . why do we have turning lanes on the right side of every lane ? why don't people use these turning lanes ? i am so sick of driving behind a vehicle doing the speed limit who all of a sudden decides to turn its signal lights on and remain in the main travel lane when there are no obstructions at all in the turning lane. . . . i believe there is a process for using these lanes. . . is it not #1. shoulder check in the direction you wish to turn to be sure of no possible collisions. #2. turn signal light on in the direction you wish to turn. #3. get as far to the right as possible and reduce speed. #3. stop for any present pedestrians before turning.(if applicable #4. continue with your turn and have a nice day. . . . please people. this isn't just annoying it could easily be a hazard to drivers and pedestrians alike.

Can we get the sign for gateway to the north changed to bottleneck of the north, we don't want tourists to not only think we're an ill equipped city, but also liars.

A three way stop needs to be created in front of wal-mart and Front Runner footwear as it is almost impossible to turn left or right when hitting that stop sign heading north past Tim horton's, Arby's, Urban Planet, & Circuit City due to the high levels of traffic heading eastbound and westbound in front of Wal-mart and front runner footwear!
Southwood Dr Prince Albert, SK S6V, Canada - Prince Albert
I live on Southwood Dr. and have 2 frustrations... first, since they've open our street up to Central Ave, the traffic is ridiculous. Several times a day our residential street turns into a freeway. Before and after school Carlton traffic (and a lot of these kids drive very recklessly, passing, speeding, etc.), before and after Bingo, before and after Raider games, not to mention regular traffic. People have realized that there's no stop signs between 6th Ave. E and Central, and so our street is now the choice of many who want to avoid school zones, lights, etc. It's dangerous, and there's many families with small children. I'm afraid it's just a matter of time before someone is hurt or killed.
Secondly, trying to turn left off of Southwood onto 6th Avenue is nearly impossible. First thing in the morning when there are people coming in from the highway, people are on their way to Carlton, you can sit at that light so long that it's actually quicker to turn right and go the long way around, or to make another detour somewhere along the way. We NEED lights at that intercetion, and stop signs and speed limit signs all along Southwood!

Looking at the recent census and the more recent release of City of Prince Albert Expenditures it makes sense to assume that many Treaty natives from surrounding communities are choosing to live in Prince Albert. Does it make fiscal sense for governments to try to maintain quality dual services i.e. schools, health centres, centres of governance, ostensibly servicing the same individuals both on reserve and in established nearby cities? It is obvious that bands cannot retain their youth on reserves. It is a new and exciting world for these young people and they have no intention of being held back from their dreams of urban life and the amenities and opportunities it affords them. It is time for governments; federal, provincial, native to come to terms with the new world that Treaty youth intend to inhabit, and bring the budgets, disbursements and future planning decisions in line with that reality. No more duplication of services, it is too expensive. If a family moves to an urban center the portion of grant given to the band for those individuals should be diverted to the urban government that now has to provide the infrastructure.
There has to be an end game to the current practice of trying to prop up an archaic and inefficient way of providing service and infrastructure for the burgeoning aboriginal youth population many of whom are choosing to live off-reserve to pursue opportunities, and most likely will never return to the reserve life for any significant length of time.

OK, here we go. I live rural of prince albert by.. oh, 10 minutes. Today at least 15 sleds drove by my house, On my neighbors POSTED property. My boyfriend and brother took a drive to see where they went, and sure enough, On our slough. Our property is posted ALL around with no hunting/tresspassing signs. Another neighbor was also complaining about these guys driving around on their posted land. Just because there is no fence or a section of a fence is down DOES NOT IN ANY WAY mean you can still go on it without permission, especially if it is posted! For anyone who goes out skidoo-ing out of town, If I see you on ANY of my neighbors posted property without permission, I will call the RCMP. There are people out here with livestock, If you scare them they could slip on ice, break a leg, neck, Trample babies, Or if pregnant cause them to miscarry. Some of these people depend on their livestock to get by. HAVE SOME RESPECT! We dont come into town and burn donuts and run all over on your lawn, What makes you think you can go on our property that way!!!
15th St W Between 2nd Ave W And 20th Ave W Prince Albert, SK - Prince Albert
I travel 15th St W just about everyday...signs posted on the street lights about it being a snow route. Yet I see other streets in this city that have been ploughed before this one. The area between 2nd Ave W and 6th Ave W is down to one lane pretty much as the northern most and southern most lanes are horribly snowpacked and rutted, and it is very very icy as well. Can we please get this looked after?

Every day when I drive by the Tim Hortons on 2nd Ave there are a number of cars parked in the turning lane. There is clearly a sign posted say 'do not park on 2nd Ave'. I have see accidents and many almost accidents, when do we make people accountable.

Recently I went to visit the River Forks and was disgusted with the disrespect that befell upon the historical sight. This place is supposed to be a place to feel the beauty of nature and take in the peacefulness. Instead you have people burning tires, littering the grounds with their wrappers and beer cans, burning property including the last picnic table down to the steel screws. Along with all the distraction you also have someone shooting up the signs and plaques with shot guns and rifles.
This is a beautiful place to bring your dogs for a walk and go for a little hike to an amazing place neat our city, so please respect it. If you can't respect history, stay at your place and destroy it.

The "NO PARKING SNOW REMOVAL 5 am - 5 pm" signs have been up for at least a day or so. Like a good citizen I got up early this morning and moved my car, even though I don't really have a safe place to park it in lieu of the street. The graders are finally starting to go by and remove the snow at 1:30 pm, but looking out the window I see several cars! Why the @#$% isn't the city towing these illegally parked vehicles so we can remove the snow properly? It should be noted as well, that at least 3 of the vehicles belong to the same person, whose vehicles usually line the block. Ticket, tow, and charge 'em! Now we'll wind up with a half-done job of snow removal, because some people were to lazy to move their vehicles out of the way. Shoddy.

Ok, so everyone's vehicle comes with turning signal lights...these orange lights whose purpose it is to INDICATE YOUR INTENTION to turn.
People in this city, for some reason, do not use these signals...which are to be used to communicate your INTENTION TO TURN. I generally see them used in one of three ways:
1) Sitting in the turning lane, waiting on the arrow, their turn signal will come on... this is pointless, we already know you're going to be turning. Use your signal about half a block back to INDICATE YOUR INTENTION to turn.
2) As the vehicle begins their journey THROUGH the intersection and is halfway turned, the signal light comes on, what purpose does this serve? We know you're turning...use your signal half a block back BEFORE you begin your turn!!
3) Not at all...this is brilliant... no signal, and therefore nobody around knows what you're doing...cutting people off in lane changes.
This behaviour is dangerous, irresponsible and illegal. Get with it.

I am concerned for the safety of school children that have to cross this intersection. Many drivers roll right thru this stop sign and it is a serious accident just waiting to happen. I think that a police presence a few times at 8:30 & 3:30 would help or better yet, change the intersection to a 4-way stop. Think back carefully to how many times that you might of rolled thru this areas stop sign? We need to make it safe before someones child pays the price.

We currently live on Elmwood Ave and a few years back a park was build on Southwood (Just around the corner). For the past several years we have been hounding the city to make it safer for children to play with no responce back. The Park is only a few feets away from the road which is completely unsafe as the carlton HIgh school and Bingo traffic speed down that road on a regular basis and there are also no signs anywhere to be seen indicating that there is a park there. This is completely unacceptable as there is bound to be an accident in the future.
