Qe2 Exit Onto Hwy39w Leduc, ab - Leduc

Drivers often consider this a yield which backs up traffic onto hwy 2. This merge lane should be extended to the lights.

  i find that with all the merge lanes in leduc. i think it is time we all go back to driving school.
  
  when drivers do use it right i find lots of drivers on 50th Ave hammer on the brakes thinking that the merging traffic is going to hit them.
  
  if it was longer and may be more or better signing would work.

  Because this is a merge lane,some locals KNOW what to do, but often have to apply brakes hard when they come face to face with someone who has completely stopped and thinks this is a yeild lane! Very Dangerous!

trucks and motorcycles too noisy Archived

Black Gold Dr Leduc, AB - Leduc

We should have a noise by-law that is enforcable -- too many noisy pick-up trucks and motorcycles. 90% of traffic is quiet and liveable but the 10% disrupt our lives. A lot of motorists don't know what a stop sign means (at Alton and Black Gold)!!!

No signage to indicate highway speed as you are entering the highway. Leads to dangerous speed differential as the highway traffic is doing 110km/h and traffic coming from Leduc is often only at 70km/h

  Thanks for your comments. The Highway 2 merge lanes are the responsibility of Alberta Transportation. Speed signs are posted well past merge areas on Provincial Highways. It is the drivers responsibility to reach highway speed prior to merging into traffic. This is a standard throughout the province.

too much traffic in residential area Open

47 Ave Leduc, AB - Leduc

Nearly constant - large volume of traffic passing along 47 ave to attend one of the following areas: boat club, soccer fields, community gardens, rugby fields, baseball diamonds, dog park, football field, drama society, stone barn garden, just for fun theatre, and the black gold centre. 11 recreational areas that could all be accessed from Black gold Drive and the PSB Haul Road and 48 avenue. The residents all along 47 avenue are surely frustrated by the sheer number of vehicles going down their street on any weeknight. The solution is to alleviate the huge volume of traffic that has began to be extremely disturbing in the south telford neighbourhood in the past 3-4 years by blocking the end of 47 ave and 44 street to all thru traffic. This would definitely bring a sense of peace back to the neighbourhood that has been missing for the past few years.

Most time consuming intersection Open

4701 50th Ave Leduc, AB - Leduc

It is the most time consuming and frustrating intersection. I would like to see a flow thru lane for those traveling north on 46 st. Put up a barrier and let the traffic go through. And if the traffic turning right from 46st to 50 ave wouldn't have to wait so long for a light, I think that would help.

Transit Service in Nisku Park = Demand = Revenue Open

81 Ave Leduc, AB - Leduc

If you guys get your own Transit Service, Nisku would be a good traffic and revenue generator when you connect it with the Municipal Building ETS/C-Line stop. Also would be nice to stay in Leduc and not fork out $100 for a taxi or wake up at 6 am in order to go to Edmonton! (or run like heck to the bus from WEM to Century Park stop in order to catch my flight)- Sincerely, Winnipegger

Add a road to Hwy 2a Open

If there is a road that leads to Hwy 2a from the tribute area it will cut down on the amount of traffic trying to get out of 42st onto Rollyview. It will also cut down on the amount of traffic traveling through tribute trying to go south on Hwy 2a

  I agree completely!! The planning of a huge subdivision with only two access points, both off of Rollyview Road is completely ridiculous and extremely poor planning by the city. Tribute continues to expand further south everyday and an alternate southern access is desperately needed. It should go east/west from 2A to RR250

need another route to east side of city Open

Do we need to see a serious accident or other disaster before another route for Windrose traffic to go east, is developed? If Hwy 39 and Black Gold have a problem, ambulance or fire can't get through. Need a road south of golf course to join up with QEII and east.

High Speeds, High Volume Open

Grant Macewan Blvd Leduc, AB - Leduc

Grant McEwan has become a literal raceway! As it is one of only two ways out of Windrose and Suntree the amount of traffic is amazing. Most of the vehicles ignore the stop sign or stop rev up their vehicles and blast down the road. We have even had poeple stop, use a flag person and have races down the street. The traffic noise is untolerable. The road sits higher then all the fences along the road allowing all the noise into the backyards! There is never any policing of the speeds or stop violations especially at night or early mornings.

lengthen merge lane Open

The merge lane onto Hwy 2 is WAY too short. Considering the spped limit is 50km and you have less than 200 metres to accelerate to 110km/h (if the traffic is actually going that slow) it's highly dangerous. It would even be better to make the merge lane a complete lane all the way through to the off ramp

waitng for Left turns in the middle of the block Open

People are making left turns into CIBC, 4 Paws, Petro Can,. etc. after the 50 St. and 50 Ave. corner. This blocks traffic through the intersection and causes traffic back ups and unsafe conditions.

Needs Overpass Open

65 Ave Leduc, AB - Leduc

An overpass is needed to cut down on congestion on 50st and 50ave. This will help out with traffic trying to get to the west part of the city or south on Hwy 2.

Excessive Speeding & Noise Open

Grant Macewan Blvd Leduc, AB - Leduc

Traffic traveling north and south on Grant MacEwan blvd traveling at excessive speeds (especially in the evenings and overnight. Loud engine noise and squealing brakes at all hours. Request a four-way stop at Grant Macewan and Windrose Drive. Putting in lights at this intersection would not help! They would likely be set to green overnight and would not stop the speeding.

41b Street And Black Gold Drive Leduc, AB - Leduc

With the expansion of Black Gold Drive, the amount of traffic through this area has increased, especially during ball tournaments and events at the LRC. A set of lights would help with traffic turning onto Black gold from the LRC parking lot or from the residential area of 41b Street.
