Buckled pavement, hazard to bikes on intersection
This has been up here for nearly a year, with no response from the city and no repairs to this bike hazard on one of Tucson's busiest bike boulevards.
This is one of a series of strange and dangerous hazards to bicycle and pedestrian travel on Treat Ave.
There is no damage at the specific address "2748 E Drachman", perhaps the City looked only there. I acknowledge that in the comments you stated the intersection. Is it possible to edit the location from "2748 E Drachman", to "SW portion of the intersection of Drachman and Treat"?
Curt- thank you for the clarification. Using a mobile phone, it automatically put in that address.
The issue here is certainly on Treat Ave, not on Drachman as you point out.
Several large and dangerous potholes are in the street in front of 2814 E. Waverly Street.
This pothole has grown to very large proportions, and has become very dangerous. It has been reported many times before but no action has been taken!
Pavement bump, hazard to bikes
Maybe I should add a photo. A series of similar reports (with photos) has not generated any notice from the city, though.
Buckled pavement, hazard to bikes
Does anyone know if the City of Tucson faces additional liability for being informed about these hazards to bicycle transport, and does nothing about it for a year?
I have seen people swerve to avoid these hazards and nearly fall when hitting them at night. These strange giant pavement bumps really need to be addressed by the City.
13 months with no comment from the city, and no plan (that I'm aware of) to fix these hazards to bicycles on one of Tucson's few bicycle boulevards.
Pothole and buckled pavement, hazard to bikes
This is still an problem that has not been commented on or addressed by the city. These tall and sharp-edged lumps in the pavement are a real hazard to pedestrians and cyclists, particularly at night.
This issue was reported nearly a year ago, and still has not been addressed. This location and a number of other large bumps on Treat Ave pose a safety threat to cyclists.
This is a pretty good example of a pothole/seam/raised bump combination that is a serious hazard to cyclists. I'm going to ask a construction engineer friend how Treat got such bad pavement. I am astonished by these strange lumps and elevated bumps in the road. I've lived in a lot of different climates and regions, and have never seen pavement as bad as central Tucson.
This is a pothole (raised bump) that is quite dangerous to bikes. There is a series of these along Treat.
331 days with no response from the City and no work to fix these hazards. This is a shameful feature to have on one of Tucson's few bike boulevards.
This is so bad.
Maybe if we call it a 'pothole' the city would fix it?
This lump is the same as what I reported a year ago (Issue ID: 548854). I didn't include a photo; you were smart to do this.
These lumps and mounds are really hazardous to cyclists. They are perfectly positioned (just far enough from the curb) to be exactly where the average cyclist will hit it.
I cannot imagine how this stretch of Treat Ave got such bad pavement. I've never seen pavement mounds like this anywhere else.
Treat Ave has astonishingly bad pavement. Treat is a Bicycle Boulevard, and the bad pavement on this bike arterial puts cyclists who are at risk.
