Tree branches on the east side of Webster Ave. going north, block the traffic light on the intersection of New Britain Ave. and Webster St. causing a very dangerous situation.

Vehicles making left hand turn from right hand lane Open

255-291 Wethersfield Avenue Hartford, CT 06114, USA - Barry Square

Vehicles making left hand turn from right hand lane on one way street. The bus was not picking up students. This happens all day, creating a backup on Shultas place during prime commuting times, 6-7 am & 4-5. Two lights are facing traffic on Shultas Place, they could have green arrows to indicate the left lane is for left turns, the right lane is for right hand turns. The 2 lanes turning left creates a safety hazard, they end up driving in a non traffic area and make right hand turns onto Warwarme without stopping.

Needs 4 way stop Archived

207 Newbury St Hartford, CT - Barry Square

this intersection is a stop sign only for drivers coming off Newbury St. Drivers coming down white St only have a flashing yellow light. I think it needs a four way stop. Cars tend to speed up and down the hill which is steep if driving towards maple ave. In the 5 years that I have lived here, I have seen numerous accidents. I have seen cars going thru my neighbors' yard more than once. I have seen cars hit the tree on the corner and keep going. I have seen a motorcycle hit. A van once completely tipped on its side and a little boy got seriously injured. This neighborhood has lots of children and there is a school not too far away--3 blocks away. I am worried that something more serious will happen to a child. The intersection of newbury annd preston st has a four way stop and that doesn't get nearly the same amount of traffic. Bottom line is that it is a dangerous intersection that needs a four way stop.

346 Wethersfield Ave Hartford, CT 06114 - Barry Square

Traffic Signal at this four way intersection switches to flashing at night - traffic turning off Elliott Street East is unable to see Northbound traffic on Wethersfield Ave due to on street parking and pull out into intersection - recent accident caused a pedestrian fatality... Traffic Light should not be flashing at night due to high traffic volume.

  Not an issue if drivers obey traffic signals. Flashing yellow means slow down then proceed with caution, Flashing red means STOP then proceed with caution. Changing this back to a sequenced signal won't prevent accidents. Drivers regularly run red lights in the town. Educating lousy drivers might help, arresting criminal drivers might also help!

cars speed in this area,cars coming up on pawtucket st. are not able to react quick enough and also cars coming out of the Institute of Living are wreckless
