There is always weekly trash put out days before the North End pick up which is Monday. Not just one bag or can either. Believe there is a zoning/blight law that trash should only be put out 24 hours prior to pick up.

The place is a total dump. There are trash cans spilled over on the side of the house and into the wooded lot next door and it's been like this for weeks. Jim Tanner where are you, you need to get on this.

Last Sunday night a private contractor came to clear the property across the street of snow. The dumped all the snow from the driveway onto the sidewalk across the street. The whole length from one telphone pole to the next. Homeowner is 88 years old and is responsible for clearing sidewalk. Can not get anyone to do it since its a huge snow pile. She can not use the front stairs, can not get mail. Has not gotten mail for 8 days now. She does not drive, and is getting no where with calling the contractor. They just say ok, we will have someone look at it. Here we are a week later and still nothing. Something should be done to private contractors clearing private property from dumping huge piles of snow on sidewalks people are responsible for clearing. Public works said no they can not help.....They did not do it.

I continually call the garbage company to have the guys EMPTY all trash we place into the bins. Yet every week they only pick the bags as far as they can reach and leave the remainder in the bin. I am sorry but this is ridiculous as something should be done. Isnt it there job to pick up and empty trash cans? LAZY!

The greenhouse at the corner of Rockwood & N Prospect St has a tree growing out of one of the buildings which is falling over, unused broken greenhouses, not to mention all the overgrown shrubs and garbage. This business needs to clean up their yard and tear down danagous buildings and glass houses no longer in use. It is a disgust that us neaighbors have to look at this but be embarrassed by its dismay. I cannot believe the town has not ordered them to clean up or fine them a heavy fine and let the town clean it up.

Are the Buildings that are legally under the oversight of the town of Ansonia CT, as private home ownership is,
Located at approximately 525 East Main St and the Farrel corner of Main and North Main Street,
In postion to dodge current blight laws developed by your town in the valley? You have to admit the visual on these buildings look far worse than the River Side Apartments making state news for removal. We were eating in your town one evening and decided to take a walk after dinner prior to driving out of town and back home. I in sandals managed to get my foot scraped by broken glass from debris from one of these buildings.
See attached pics by way of what everyone on the world-wide-web is seeing post-carded as one of your city focal points.

Broken glass 3-4 places along sidewalk in between the billboards and the fire hydrant next to the levee entrance. It's been there for months and what does it take to clean it up? I have been walking by it every day!

Why are they allowed to throw their snow to the middle of the street with cars going by. Is it not against the law to throw snow back into the road after plowed? Whoever cleans up their sidewalks throws sand, dirt and snow in the middle of the road for the city to clean up.

N. State Street (Particularly across the street where I park (#174 area) this street and drain needs to be cleaned by the city. I've tried to clean up as much as I could - but after the past 2 rainstorms since TS Irene.... twigs, branches, leaves; etc keep floating down the hill and not only causing potential damage to my/roommates car's tires/vehicle but also the drain in the street... which can cause flooding due to poor drainage. Please look into and assist. Thank you!

Is it only me who notices this? The hill/cliff behind the first olson dr building knocked down is strewn with garbage and debris. This area is now readily visible now that the building is gone. This is so depressing to see this area in this state. Why is nothing being done about it? If the city of Ansonia doesn't want to clean it up then make the property owners on lester st liable. Tell them to clean this up immediately or face a stiff penalty. If the owners don't have the means to do it then the city should help them. Am I the only one that cares about it?

It appears someone had beat me to this issue already as it continues to generate fairly accurate opinion through many WEB and other media outlets. Good question, will it be in the age or generation of the valley baby-boomers to see a visual change to the buildings on upper East Main and lower North Main Streets? Example, the next half of decade? By the largest media account this "YouTube" link below has also awakened me like 3,184 others through comment stating the town of Ansonia is either a fire trap or some kind of pit. It is YouTube number 1 by categorically doing a simple-search “Ansonia, CT” in the search bar. What a grand entrance to the town & label to the internet’s hottest site seen here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zfdsYTHaT9o
Did a superintendent miss something on clean-up day?
