there is a retention pond at the SE corner of Alameda NE and Louisiana NE in ABQ. For the 7 years we have lived with this in our backyard there has been ongoing disruption at all hours of the day and night with SUVs, dune buggies, 4 wheelers, pickup trucks testing their ability to negotiate the dirt banks as well as the water when there is some in it. Invariably, someone gets stuck late at night and spends hours revving motors, yelling, using profanity, etc. This disturbs sleep as well as quality of life with the noise, dust, etc. Despite repeated efforts to contact the owner to do anything permanent to block it off, nothing has been done. I have contacted our councilman, the city, flood control, our homeowners association and no one can do anything about it. We have finally resorted to calling the police every time people show up but nothing has resulted using this tactic as response time is not at the top of the list - understandably - but 40 minutes later when there is a substation less than 1/2 mile away? There are also incidents of dumping which also been called in to the city but nothing has resulted. Is there any agency that can address this situation?
